While exploring our amazing Northern California Coastal Redwoods come settle in our RV Park or Cottages that are perfectly located amongst many Hikes, Beaches, Lagoons, & Redwood Parks.
We are perfectly located right off US Highway 101 and offer beautifully renovated cottages along with the only full-hookup RV park close to many parks, hikes, and beaches in the area. Set on 6.7 peaceful acres and surrounded by three creeks, The Heart of the Redwoods is a quality lodging choice for travelers interested in sightseeing and camping in Humboldt County.
Our central location in Redwood, CA places guests near some of the most iconic destinations in Northern California, including Redwood National Park, Prairie Creek State Park, Six Rivers National Forest, and the Yurok Reservation. Outdoor enthusiasts can easily explore Fern Canyon, Gold Bluffs Beach, Elk Meadows, Orick, and the stunning coastline surrounding Freshwater Lagoon, Big Lagoon, Stone Lagoon, and Humboldt Lagoons State Park.
We are an ideal home base for hiking and nature exploration, with convenient access to popular trails such as the Redwood Creek Trailhead and the Tall Trees Grove Trailhead. Guests frequently enjoy wildlife viewing throughout the area, including Roosevelt elk, as well as the many waterways that make Humboldt County such a special destination.
We offer a small RV park and three vacation homes, with more to come. Our cottages are available to rent through Airbnb, VRBO, and Campspot. Our RV sites are designed for convenience and comfort, featuring 70-foot back-in sites with full hookups (water, power, and septic), fire pits, picnic tables, and free Wi-Fi. All guests receive excellent customer service from our on-site hosts and owners.

We are located in Orick CA, off of US Hwy 101. We are 45 miles north of Eureka, 300 miles north of San Francisco, and 64 miles south of Oregon. We are quite literally in the middle of the Redwoods-Prairie Creek State Park, Trillium Falls Trail, Fern Canyon/Gold Bluffs Beach, Lady Bird Johnson Grove, Lost Man’s Creek, Beaches, Lagoons, & many more trails just minutes away waiting for your exploration.
The protected Roosevelt Elk that roam the area are among the amazing wildlife here. During the late summer & fall months enjoy our wild blackberries that encircle our property.
This cottage is 1 of 3 of our newly renovated cottages, featuring 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, & sleeping up to 9. This cottage offers a king, queen, 1 twin, 1 full bed, a queen sofa sleeper, a jacuzzi bath, a Roku TV, free wifi, and a full kitchen with an outside sauna, BBQ, fire pit, and free firewood.
Wapiti Cottage is 1 of 3 of our newly renovated cottages. This 3 bedroom, sleeps 7, 1 bathroom, new kitchen, laundry room, king, queen, full & twin beds, smart TV, free wifi, fireplace, outside firepit, BBQ, & free firewood is the perfect place to relax while exploring our redwoods!
This is Hop(e) Cottage, 1 of 3 of our newly renovated cottages featuring a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, sleeps 8 with a King, Queen, & 2 bunk beds (4 twins). It has a beautifully furnished kitchen, dining room, smart TV, free wifi, fireplace, outside firepit, BBQ, & free firewood.
